Civil Litigation Attorney (3+ Years)

Location: Downtown Denver, CO (Hybrid after training)

Compensation: $120,000 - $175,000 DOE + bonus potential

Employment Type: Full-time, Exempt

About the Role

Our client, a well-regarded civil litigation firm in Downtown Denver, is seeking a Civil Litigation Attorney with 3+ years of experience to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven litigator who wants hands-on case responsibility, meaningful courtroom exposure, and a clear path for professional growth. The role will be onsite during the training period, transitioning to a hybrid schedule thereafter.

Key Responsibilities

Independently manage a litigation docket from intake through resolution.

Draft and argue dispositive and procedural motions in state and federal courts.

Prepare for and conduct depositions of parties, experts, and fact witnesses.

Handle written discovery, including drafting/answering interrogatories, requests for production/admission, and discovery motions.

Participate in mediations, settlement conferences, and negotiations.

Trial preparation (pretrial disclosures, witness prep, exhibit management) and first- or second-chair trial experience preferred.

Develop case strategies in collaboration with partners and clients; provide timely, business-minded updates.

Mentor junior team members and collaborate closely with paralegals and support staff.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Active license in good standing with the Colorado Bar (required).

3+ years of civil litigation experience in courts.

Demonstrated experience preparing for and conducting depositions.

Strong motion practice, legal research, and writing skills.

Trial experience preferred (first- or second-chair); mock trial/clinic/externship experience can be additive.

Excellent communication, organization, and client service skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple matters and deadlines.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary: $120,000 - $175,000, commensurate with experience.
